The Suffolk County Bar Association is a nonprofit professional organization of lawyers in Suffolk County, New York. For over a century, our organization has helped the community through charitable services, pro bono representation, scholarship programs, and legal education.

When you need help with a legal issue in Suffolk County, New York, our Lawyer Referral Service is a trusted way to connect with pre-screened lawyers. Every lawyer who participates in our lawyer referral service maintains professional liability insurance of at least $100,000 and has demonstrated experience in their practice area.

There are two ways to connect with a lawyer using our Lawyer Referral Service. You can either submit your request online here or call us at (631) 234-5577. Our experienced intake staff are available to receive calls between 10:00 am - 4:00 pm., Monday through Friday.

When you have a consultation with the lawyer you are referred to, the lawyer will charge you no more than $25 for the first 30 minutes of the consultation. During the consultation, you and the lawyer can decide if you want to work together. If you hire the lawyer, the lawyer will charge you their regular fees for additional work.
